Dumbfind est un tout nouveau moteur assez intéressant permettant de chercher à la fois dans des pages web et dans des news. Il présente des innovations à suivre telles que:

• la possibilité de préciser un mot-clé par des tags. Il s'agit là d'une technologie spécifique que la société explique ainsi:

  Why does Dumbfind use tags? Dumbfind automatically assigns tags to its data so the engine can see how tags relate to one another. It's intuitive for a person to understand how things relate, like how we know musical instrument relates to guitar or white house relates to president of the united states or forrest gump relates to tom hanks. It's difficult for a computer to understand this. By extracting and analyzing billions of tags, Dumbfind works to understand how they relate and uses those relationships to create a more flexible search engine. Dumbfind does a regular keyword search for every search. This produces a set of results that is similar to other search engines. Dumbfind goes beyond keyword search engines by comparing the results to any tags that may have been searched on, and the most relevant results to the tags move to the top of the list. Unlike most search engines, the actual words in the tags searched for do not need to be matched directly to the results.

• Ils sont également accessibles via des clusters d'information présentés sous forme de nuages de tags.
• Les résultats des news ne sont pas visibles sous forme de tags mais sont en revanche classés par date
