Let me Google that for you, ou comment apprendre aux autres à pêcher
Combien de fois n'avez-vous pas eu envie de répondre à quelqu'un vous posant une question apparement simple "tu n'as qu'à taper dans Google".
Phrase facile bien sûr, que vous n'avez pas eue (en tout cas pas à chaque fois :-) parce que si l'on vous demande cela c'est aussi que l'on a confiance en vos compétences.
Un nouveau service tout simple intitulé Let me Google this for you vient proposer une aide que je trouve intéressante. Il permet en effet d'apporter une réponse à ceux qui vous posent des questions en rejouant pour eux la requête que vous avez tapée dans Google avant de leur en donner les résultats. C'est tout bête mais je trouve que c'est une bonne manière d'apprendre à quelqu'un à formuler correctement une requête.
Les créateurs de ce petit service ont décidé d'axer leur communication sur le cynisme avec un "Was that so hard?" provocateur qui apparait après que la requête ait été tapée et je trouve cela dommage. Je préfère largement utiliser ce service dans l'approche qui correspond au fameux proverbe chinois "Donne un poisson à un homme il se nourrira une journée, apprends-lui à pêcher, il se nourrira toute sa vie."
Testons ce service avec une question : comment interroger Google pour savoir combien de fois le terme "intelligence économique" est cité sur Outils Froids?
